Stevie Wonder - Isn't She Lovely (Live) (HD)

Everytime I watch this I feel kinda bad for sampling hit....haha okay now I'm good *Jokes*, but yeah obviously me sampling it was just with the intention of making Bram tunes, if you somehow have a problem accepting that, then lighten up hahaha. Anyway, enjoy the clip, talk to you soon.

Donje.

Everybody Know (Heads Up)

So yeah tomorrow we'll be dropping the link to my new song, I thought that maybe to keep this blog interesting we'd post up a young sumin before the song, which she should hopefully give some perspective on what the hell I'm talking about hahaha.

So yeah the song's called "Isn't She (Everybody Know)" and I think I should start off by saying that I sampled the Stevie Wonder classic (If you don't know what song I'm talking about then forget I said anything lol).

But yeah I don't want to say too much but this song has a long history with me, hahaha I think i first chopped the sample when I was highschool and came up with a rough concept, i only wrote the song and added some additional production till very recently (I added the strings and pianos yesterday lol).

But enough of that, when i came across this sample, I was going through a lot of bull *InappropriateWord* and something inside of me just reassured me that Life is Lovely even though my motto during that period of my life was "Life's a *InappropriateWord*". hahaha so yeeeaaaaah don't worry, I didn't knock up any of the girls I fancy just yet lol (REAL STEVIE WONDER FANS GET THIS JOKE!!! lol).

And as for the cover art that I chose to go with the song...Well, just by looking it, its hard to hate being alive haha, that's my old friend, Shannon and his sister in the picture.

P.S Everybody know ' life aint life if we aint got low.

Thank You,
Donje :).

Hello, My name is Donje...

Hello hi oh woooooowwwwwww (trust me, it sounds funnier when you hear me say it in person) haha.

Anyway i just realized that this blog has been up for a bit and i haven't even introduced myself and the Bram Village, haha my mother would be disappointed if she found out about this, but enough of that already, Hi my name is Donje Musi, i'm a rapper and a producer and a mixing engineer and a mechanical engineering student (don't ask!!!! lol) from Pretoria, South Africa and I am going to stop at that because I feel like I'm writing an essay to post up on my dating site profile hahaha (and yes i've tried dating sites and I'm not ashamed haha).

Oh yeah and I have a track out, its pretty kick ass, i hope you get a chance to hear it (thats a euphemism for "if you don't download it we gonna have a serious problem" hahaha na I'm joking, the look on your face is priceless lol). Okay now on a serious note...Geez,  I sound like my old high school principal, hahaha he was a strange man, and yes I  do realize that I am diverging - apologies!

What I am trying to say is that yeah we are the Bram Village Connect, our goal is to supply the world with everything that is Bram, starting with me, haha don't worry you'll know what "Bram" means in due time, its hard to explain in one post, but keep following us and what we're up to and you'll get it eventually. And yeah I know this was less of an introduction and more of a post filled with lame jokes, but hey we are who we are right?(That last question was rhetorical in case you were wondering lol). Yeah I should have warned you earlier, my punctuation is atrocious, but hey at least I know fancy words like "atrocious", right?

Hahah anyway my name is Donje, thanx for your time if you actually read the whole post hahaha!!!
Happiness, Love and Donje!!

P.S heres the link to my very first track, (another one is coming tomorrow) :

The BVC Anthem

We are the very
 Liquid sensuality
 That oozes ad seduces
 Society to our sacred dynasty
 We rise as the dust
 From the stomped african slaves
 We were their chains
 As rubies that rest
 Upon our breasts
 We are strong african women
 With skin glazened in ebony

 We partake in monologues
 Articulating our pain
 I soliloqies sharper
 Than the rough diamonds of
 Sierra Leone
Our smiles make the rain shy away
The  clouds blush pink as the
 Skies of sierra Leonne

We inherit the beauty of our mother
The strength of the resilient black woman
We are a secret sorority of royalty in our blood
 We are mother Nature's heartbeat
Beating tattoos of presence and possibilities through our feet
 Nubiens we rise
 Our blackness never disguised
And the treasured pearl between our thighs
 Is a gem
 Forever prized
 Stand up black woman
 You have arrived

"The Perfect Stranger" by The Afrikahn Poet

Backpacking caught him on a bus
A stranger, my soul's blood veins caught
A rush my heart beating a sound of love
I had to tell it to hush
This stranger with ink
Dancing on his skin
And curls my fingers wanted to delve in
Lips I wanted to..... Bite
Rushing feelings to that soft pink matter
You smiled I felt my heart drop to the bottom of my stomach and clatter
Hush
Looking down
Feelings so unlady like
Even a slight utter would make nuns blush
I slowly tore away my eyes from
The ground
Tattooed to the backs of my iris
This divine beauty my eyes found
This perfect stranger
With skin the colour of tempered white chocolte
With a smile that tampered with the beating of my heart
The sanity of my mind
The pearls between my very legs
Then we caught eyes
My lungs struggled to keep up
With the air around me that your scent so muskily caressed
I don't even know your name
But we are kindred spirits
Because at that moment I felt the rings on my fingers
Yearn to make prints on your face,
I wanted to own you mind boy and soul
I needed to hear the
Music that would flow from that voice
That adam's apple that spoke to me saying
I am a man's man
Those tattoos
That told me that you my cultured man
Are a piece of art
I could see the poetry in your body
The strength subtly hidden in that clenching of your jaw
Those muscles stretching that grey shirt taut
You were the epitomy of rugged perfection
I couldn't even keep my cool facade
It was adieu to the pretension
That friday afternoon
I was Nina Simone
I was feeling Good
You were my Frank Sinatra, my coltrane my soul train
I hate to admit it but
You were the mystery and very liquid sex walking soul of Christian Grey
So I catch that bus 360 hoping to see you everyday
And every day when I jump off
A little bit of me stays

The Life of an Artist

"Artists are some of the most driven and courageous people on the face of the earth. They deal with more day to day rejection in one year than most people do in a lifetime. Every day, artists face the financial challenge of living a freelance lifestyle, the disrespect of people who think they should get 'real' jobs, and their own fear that they'll never work again. Every day, they have to ignore the possibility that the vision to which they have dedicated their lives is a pipe-dream. With every passing year, many of them watch as other people their age achieve the predictable milestones of normal life - the car, the family, the house, the nest egg. But they stay true to their dream, in spite of the sacrifices. Why? Because artists are willing to give their entire lives to a moment - to that line, that laugh, that gesture, or that interpretation that will stir the audience's soul. Artists are beings who have tasted life's nectar in that crystal moment when they poured out their creative spirit and touched another's heart. In that instant, they were as close to magic, God and perfection as anyone could ever be. And in their own hearts, they know that to dedicate oneself to that moment is worth a thousand lifetimes."         ~ David Aker
